Which vehicles are capable of V2H / V2L?
The Nissan LEAF and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV have the V2H function that enables use with the Setec V2L device.
In the US and Canada, any vehicle model year starting in 2013 is capable of V2H. The number of hours you can provide power will depend on which battery size the vehicle has. Nissan LEAFs have battery pack size variations of 24kWh, 30kWh, 40kWh and 60kWh depending on the model year and trim.
Model Year 2011 and 2012 have an older version of the CHAdeMO protocol and does not have V2H function. Models years 2013-2015 have the CHAdeMO port as an option package; a vehicle with the port is required for this functionality.
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has a CHAdeMO port and is also capable of V2H. These models started US release in 2016. Also one of the few SUV EVs with AWD.
The Mitsubishi iMiev is also capable, but very few units sold in the US.
There are a couple of other vehicles out there with the CHAdeMO port, such as the a couple of model years with the Kia Soul, but they do not have the right version of the CHAdeMO protocol to enable V2H.
